Terms of service
Last updated: 17 October 2026
These terms are an agreement between Adab Solutions Ltd (company number 14667215, registered office 128 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX), "we" or "us", and the organisation that creates an Adaab account, "you". By creating an account or using Adaab you accept these terms on your organisation's behalf, and you confirm that you are 18 or over and allowed to do so.
The service
Adaab is an online CRM for charities and similar organisations. It helps you keep supporter records, manage gifts and Gift Aid, send messages through the channels you connect, and run your team's work. What is included depends on your plan, as shown on our pricing page.
Your account
- Give us accurate details and keep them up to date.
- You decide who in your organisation has access and what they can do. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
- Keep sign-in details secure and tell us straight away at adaab@adab.solutions if you think someone has used your account without permission.
Plans, trials and payment
- Prices are shown on our pricing page and exclude VAT, which we add where it applies. Where a price depends on your organisation's income, it is based on what you tell us, and we may ask for evidence such as your latest charity accounts.
- Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or yearly, through Stripe. You authorise us to charge your payment method for each period until you cancel.
- A free trial of a paid plan needs a payment method. When the trial ends, the plan starts and the first payment is taken, unless you cancel before then. Each organisation can have one free trial.
- If a payment fails, Stripe will try again. If it still cannot be collected, your account is locked until the plan is paid or you move to the free plan. While locked, you can still sign in, pay, and export your data.
- If we change a price or what a plan includes in a way that is worse for you, we will email your account owners at least 30 days before it applies. It takes effect from your next payment after that date. Changes that are better for you can apply straight away.
Cancelling and changing plans
- You can cancel or move to a smaller plan at any time from Plan and billing. Your current plan carries on until the end of the period you have paid for, and then changes. We remind your account owners before it does.
- Payments are not refundable for part of a period, except where the law says otherwise.
- We may end these terms or suspend your account if you seriously or repeatedly break them, if you do not pay, or if we need to protect the service or other customers. Where it is reasonable, we will warn you first and give you a chance to put things right.
Your data
- Everything your organisation puts into Adaab stays yours. You give us permission to store and process it only so we can run the service for you.
- When your account is locked or you stop paying, we keep your data so you can export it. If you ask us to close your account, we delete your organisation's data within 30 days, apart from what we must keep by law. Copies in our providers' backups are deleted as those backups expire.
- We may use anonymous, aggregated information about how the service is used to improve it. It never identifies you or the people in your records.
Data protection
For personal data about your supporters, donors, beneficiaries and other contacts, you are the controller and we are your processor. As your processor we will:
- process that data only to provide the service and on your documented instructions, which include these terms and how you use Adaab;
- make sure our staff with access are bound by confidentiality;
- keep the data secure with appropriate technical and organisational measures, as described in our privacy policy;
- use only the sub-processors listed in our privacy policy, under written terms that protect the data in the same way, and tell you before we add or replace one, so you can object by ending these terms;
- help you respond to people exercising their rights, including through the export and erase tools in Adaab;
- tell you without undue delay after we become aware of a personal data breach affecting your data, and help you meet your obligations about security, breaches and impact assessments;
- delete or return the data when these terms end, as set out above;
- give you the information you reasonably need to show these obligations are being met, and allow audits on reasonable notice.
You are responsible for having a lawful basis for the data you hold and the messages you send, for giving people the privacy information they need, and for the accuracy of the data you put in.
How you may use Adaab
You must not use Adaab to:
- send messages to people without a lawful basis, including any consent required by the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, or ignore opt-outs and unsubscribes;
- send spam, or anything unlawful, misleading, harassing or harmful;
- break the rules of the services you connect, such as WhatsApp's Business and Commerce policies;
- try to access another organisation's data, get round security or usage limits, or test the service's security or load without our written permission;
- copy, resell or reverse engineer the service, except as the law allows.
You are responsible for your fundraising, including that Gift Aid declarations and claims are correct and that you follow HMRC's rules and the Fundraising Regulator's Code of Fundraising Practice.
Connected services
When you connect a service such as Google, Microsoft, Meta, Bird, Resend or your own Stripe account, your use of it is under that provider's terms. Any charges they make, such as WhatsApp conversation fees from Meta or card fees from Stripe, are between you and them. We are not responsible for their availability or for changes they make.
Availability and support
We aim to keep Adaab available and working well, and to back up your data, but we cannot promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. We may need to carry out maintenance, and we will try to do it at quiet times. We may improve or change features over time. If we remove something important from a paid plan, we will give you notice as described above. For help, email adaab@adab.solutions.
Our property
We own Adaab and everything in it apart from your data. While your account is active, we give you a non-exclusive right to use the service for your organisation's own work. If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them without owing you anything.
Confidentiality
Each of us will keep the other's confidential information private and use it only for the purposes of these terms, unless the law requires otherwise.
Liability
- Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.
- We are not liable for loss of profits, income, donations or goodwill, or for any indirect or consequential loss.
- Apart from that, our total liability to you under or in connection with these terms in any 12 months is limited to the greater of the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or £100.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change is significant, we will email your account owners at least 30 days before it takes effect. If you do not agree, you can cancel before then.
General
- These terms are the whole agreement between us about Adaab. If any part is found to be unenforceable, the rest still applies.
- You may not transfer these terms without our agreement. We may transfer them to a company that takes over our business, and we will tell you if we do.
- These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
